About this entry
Whoops! Daytime cerebration.
You can thank a 12 oz. can of Red Bull and just my feeling compelled to post. Plus, with my promise to try to keep updating, I would have lost the thoughts come nightfall.
After witnessing what happens when people bicker about their lives, particularly about their jobs, I’ve learned to never do so. I can honestly say that I have no reason to do so now. However, my current position has come to a halt. I haven’t necessarily been terminated or laid off, but moreso “on call”. Best way to describe it, irreconcilable differences. And I am okay with that. I may not be the greatest designer/developer in the world, but day-to-day, I try to be better than good at what I do.
With that being said, I once again started working on some form of branding for myself. I’m also working on re-designing a site for myself which has been a brain scrambler. There is no lie in the idea that people themselves are the works clients. But my wheels are turning. And I have a lot of resources to turn to.
The Groovetyme name, I’ve considered retiring many times for my designing “branding”. When I came up with the name in 2004, it fit well with my client base. Over the years I have successfully expanded that base to include much more than music and what seemed “hip”. I’m still thinking about keeping the name in hopes that I may find other use for it- online magazine is in the air.
After turning my brain into mush, I have considered the name “AuraSpark”, which I think ties will into the art of designing and branding. It’s also fun to say. Of course, right after I did a search to see if it exists, I found out that it has something to do with DragonBallZ, which I know nothing about. Don’t worry- using DBZ will NOT be my angle.
Stay tuned for the next installment… provided I don’t implode before then.
